Garry P. Perry M.A., C. Psych
Psychological services need to be conceptualized as an important part of a complete health care plan. Anyone wishing to operate at their peak potential, live longer, healthier and more meaningful lives could benefit from seeing a psychologist.
As a registered psychologist, Garry provides a variety of psychological, psychotherapy and counseling services. He uses a positive psychology perspective to help clients enhance their personal functioning, cope with psychological disorders or physical limitations and navigate the challenges placed on them in their relationships and daily lives. Garry employs a cognitive behavioral approach to empower his clients to create a better, more fulfilled life for themselves and their loved ones. Garry engages clients in a process to help his clients: clarify their issues/goals; assess personal strengths and weaknesses; cultivate solutions and develop the skills they need to take charge of their lives.
Garry can assist people who want to enrich their lives in a healthy, pro-active way and also those who are struggling with challenges. Therapy may focus on: individual mental health struggles (e.g., depression, anger, stress, anxiety, emotional trauma, feeling overwhelmed, building resiliency); physical challenges (e.g., dealing with chronic pain, addictions, physical trauma); work-related issues (e.g. job loss, bullying, enhancing performance); and/or challenges related to interpersonal relationships (e.g., marriage breakdown, supporting a spouse or parent with a serious illness).
