Decompression Therapy Works!
Decompression therapy on my back and my neck changed my life. When I first came to the office. I was very sceptical of how this decompression therapy was going to help me. I had to try something. X-rays confirmed the degenerated discs in my back and neck. Surgery for my back was out the question, and taking pain relievers for the arthritis that had set in my neck, arms and hands would become habit forming and more and stronger pills as my system became used to them. Getting out of bed was difficult task and walking for more than ten minutes was impossible. I saw the ad Dr. Scott Taylor place for decompression therapy. The photo of the and staff was very inviting. Approximately nine months later – I am pain free and doing all the things I used to do, ride my bike, go for long walks – thanks to the caring staff of Lena and Amy who made my visits pleasant, comfortable and thanks to Dr. Scott Taylor.Donna Mikus
The power of your mind and the thoughts you feed it can have adverse affects on your body
I am a patient at Dr Taylors office in Welland and I am so grateful for his insight and knowledge. In spring of 2016 I lost my son at the age of 36 yrs old my world was shattered, as the grieving process began a few months had passed and by December dreading our first Christmas without my son. I soon realized that you can carry your grief in your physical body. My whole upper body had seized up I could not raise my arms above my head, the pain in my lower back render me very little movement. My first decision was to visit Dr Taylor and through Chiropractic care and insightful conversations Dr Taylor had me on the road to recovery. The power of your mind and the thoughts you feed it can have adverse affects on your body. Being a patient of Dr Taylor’s I’ve learn so much. He and he’s staff are always so positive and helpful we are fortune to have him in Welland. Thank youMrs Jane Lipinski
I’m so glad I listened to my medical doctor and tried decompression
I was experiencing sciatic pain with foot drop. Whether I was sitting, standing or lying down, I was in pain all day and night. I could not find any position that would give me even temporary relief from the burning in my right leg and foot; it felt like a size 9 foot in a size 5 shoe. I had to take a leave of absence from my job because there was no way I could sit behind a desk working on a computer all day. My foot and ankle were so weak I did not dare to even go for a walk with the dog. Grocery shopping became difficult due to how much walking, lifting and carrying is involved. Housework, like cleaning the bathtub and washing the floors, was neglected because I could not safely bend over. The tips of my toes were so sensitive that even a lightweight blanket brushing on them hurt. Most nights I had to sleep alone so my husband could get some rest without being concerned that his leg might touch against mine causing me great discomfort. My family doctor told me about Spinal Decompression Therapy. He said the MRI results showed that L3 and L4 discs were bulging. He suggested SDT might help, as he handed me a referral slip to Taylor Chiropractic Offices. I did some research and decided to give it a try, even though a good friend told me her husband tried it, (but not at Taylor Chiropractic), and she said SDT didn’t work for him. I learned that not all SDT practitioners are the same, so I suggest you do your research like I did. I’m so glad I listened to my doctor and not to my friend. For the first 3 weeks I did 3 sessions of SDT a week and the results are amazing. Every day the tension in my foot and toes gets less and less, and the pain in my leg has virtually disappeared. I am moving around much quicker as the muscles in my foot and ankle are getting stronger. I am back to work for 5 hours a day (using a stand up desk and taking frequent stretch breaks). And I can wrap my feet in a blanket and sleep on either side, not just my back anymore. Dr. Taylor also recommended exercises that support a healthy back. I am doing them everyday and they are helping a lot. I am completely hopeful for a full recovery. Until then, the bathtub and floors are my husband’s new chores!Sandra Stegemann
Thanks to Dr. Taylor I now feel much more vibrant and ‘light on my feet’ again.
When I started seeing Dr. Taylor a few months ago, I was feeling quite literally dragged down. My body felt like a dead weight and I was having trouble enjoying my usual activities. While walking, I felt as if I couldn’t pick my feet up and I didn’t dare run for fear of stumbling. Jumping rope with my granddaughters, one of my favourite activities, felt impossible–there were days when I couldn’t get my feet off the ground. My shoulders were tense and my headaches were returning. I’d lost my usual vibrancy and had developed a brain fog. I’d been away from chiropractic treatment for a while after moving to Welland and I just wasn’t myself. Thanks to Dr. Taylor I now feel much more vibrant and ‘light on my feet’ again. The fog is lifting and I’m able to think more clearly. What a difference. I am a firm believer in preventative measures when it comes to my health. Investing in chiropractic care has always offered high returns. Just months away from turning 60 I feel as healthy as, or perhaps healthier than, I did in my 30’s. Thank you, Dr. Taylor, for your care and kindness and for making me feel ‘right at home’ when I come for my treatments. And thank you Lena for making each appointment special with your friendly, caring ways.Kate Kiernan

What to Expect on Your First Visit
On your first visit to Taylor Wellness & Chiropractic, we will review any documentation that you bring. You will have a consultation to review your medical history, all current symptoms and how it affects your quality of life. Your Chiropractor will then give you a non-invasive neurological scan or surface electromyography which receives information from the motor nerves. You will see a pre-scan video for a greater understanding of the procedure. It is not invasive and the scan receives information from the motor nerves. If you are acute and the Doctor has all the information they need then relief care may start on this visit.
What to Bring on Your First Visit
Please have your medical doctor email or fax over any previous CT scans, MRI or x-ray reports. If you have had other diagnostic tests done you may bring them along as well. Dr Taylor and Cote can also send you for x-rays if needed. Fill out the new patient Adult Questionnaire or Child Questionnaire at the bottom of the home page on our website under our initial paperwork for your son or daughter if they are under 6 years old. Please note that we have a 24 hour cancellation policy, which if not met, will result in a charge for the visit.
